Elementary
|
|
These
stories are called "Elementary" because some of them have
been created especially for a beginner in the language.
A
student of any level can profit from them if he or she does not have the
vocabulary which they contain. For a Westerner,
all stories in Chinese are difficult until you have developed
sufficient vocabulary and sense of structure.

|
Intermediate
|
|
Intermediate or moderately
difficult. These stories are traditional in many countries of the
world.
Learning these stories will increase your
vocabulary and overall character recognition.
|
Advanced
|
|
Some of these stories have
been taken from Hua-Wen-Ch'u Chie (First Steps in Chinese) a text
used by the
University of Southern California Advanced Chinese during the the
Forties and Fifties. They
can be used, however, by self motivated and more aggressive students at any stage because
of the audio and color coded format developed by Quintessential
Language. |
