Poem and text were written by Tom Curtis, who is taking the picture. His wife, Maria, stands with her bicycle. She accompanies him on all of his treks.
Their friend, Greg Clark, a tenured professor of Art History Sewanee University, Tennessee with works published by the J. Paul Getty Museum, is standing beside his bicycle on the left. The lady in the center is from the store where we bought our bicycles. This is the official beginning of a 3500 mile bicycle trek which began in Hannover, Germany and ended in Rome Italy.
Our diet was 100% raw vegetarian.
