THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY The example set by the Supreme Court is a disaster From
the Libertarian web site: "The
Libertarian Party is committed to America's heritage of freedom:
individual liberty and personal responsibility" America's heritage of freedom begins with the Declaration of Independence. "We
hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that
they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among
these, are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men,
deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed……" The Libertarian Party to be a true party of liberty and principle must begin by acknowledging the Creator as the source of the unalienable rights mentioned in the Declaration of Independence, and also recognize that liberty and freedom flow from the acceptance of personal responsibility based upon following Divine Law. It must give up the false notion that one owns one's body, and recognize that life comes from the Creator, and that Freedom to Choose can only mean the freedom to choose Life over death. We have been cautioned that by choosing life, we live and that by choosing death, we die. Reason is a fickle guiding principle for the most important things in life transcend reason. Reason cannot create love, inspire honor, truthfulness, honesty, further contentment, and give the necessary strength for self-control. The Libertarian Party must also look to and depend upon the protection of Divine Providence, which is another name for God. The founders of the United States who wrote the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were God-fearing people who drafted the Constitution and created a government that can exist only for such people. "And, for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor."
