WHAT KIND OF PROGRAM DO YOU REALLY NEED

FOR LEARNING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE?

Since language competence is nothing more than having at the tip of the tongue the equivalent phrase in the language you wish to speak, appropriate practice should be designed to achieve this goal.  Professional translators have this ability.  They can listen to a speech in one language and simultaneously translate it into another language.

Because of what computer technology now makes possible, it is not necessary to go to the country for immersion in the language.  A good language program requires only a computer and the necessary material with which to work.

 This material is as follows:

  1. The story or text in the target language.
  2. The translation of text one’s native language.
  3. A reading of the text in the target language by a native speaker.
  4. The facility to repeat the text, sentences and phrases at will and as often as desired..
  5. A system of color coding* that shows how the structure of one language equates to a structure in the other language, or some equivalent explanation.

A computer and software program which fulfills all of the above requirements will give you a tutor who is on call 24/7.
